T2mobile (formerly known as 9mobile) has reportedly unveiled Nigeria’s first electronic Know Your Customer (eKYC) SIM Registration Web App, marking a major milestone in the country’s telecom sector.

The new solution, described as fast, simple, and secure, enables customers, partners, and agents to complete SIM registrations seamlessly on any smartphone — even in areas with low connectivity.

According to TechAfrica, the platform supports individuals, corporates, and foreign nationals while maintaining full compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key features include real-time image capture and ID verification, instant National Identification Number (NIN) validation, smart geo-location accuracy, and instant SIM activation.
