Israeli President commends Zambia’s transformation agenda, pledges stronger ties

Isreali President, Isaac Herzog, has lauded Zambia’s ambitious transformation agenda, including the efforts to turn the country into a regional food hub.

President Herzog pledged the Israeli government’s commitment to partnering with Zambia to advance the country’s development agenda and foster cordial relations for the benefit of the two countries.

The Isreali Head of State said this when he recieved letters of Credence from Wesley Hazemba as Zambia’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the State of Israel.

During the Credentials Ceremony on Tuesday September 16, 2025, President Herzog acknowledged the existing strong and friendly relations between Zambia and Israel.

In response, Hzemba reaffirmed Zambia’s desire to continue strengthening collaboration with the State of Israel in key sectors, including health, agriculture and energy.

“I wish to convey warm and fraternal greetings from Hakainde Hichilema, President of the Republic of Zambia to President Herzog,” he said.
