Chelsea delivered a convincing 3–1 Premier League victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux, with forward Cole Palmer stealing the show by scoring a first-half hat-trick to settle the contest early on.

The Blues came into the match aiming to build on recent league momentum under Liam Rosenior and climb closer to the top-four places, while Wolves, struggling near the foot of the table, were desperate for points to ease their relegation battle.

Chelsea started brightly and soon found their rhythm, with Palmer converting expertly after sustained pressure inside the Wolves half to put the visitors ahead early.

The England international doubled his tally with a second goal, again clinically taken, and completed his treble before the break, giving Chelsea a commanding advantage and denting Wolves’ confidence.

According to the Guardian, Wolves showed signs of life in the second half and were rewarded when Tolu Arokodare pulled one back, firing home a well-taken goal to make it 3–1 and lift the home crowd.

Despite Wolves’ effort to stage a comeback, Chelsea regained control and managed the game well, limiting the hosts to few clear opportunities as the clock wound down.

Palmer’s hat-trick highlighted a dominant attacking display for the Blues, while Wolves’ defensive lapses, particularly the fouls that led to two penalties, proved costly on the day.

The win keeps Chelsea’s push for a top-four finish firmly alive, as they continue to rack up wins under Rosenior.

For Wolves, the defeat compounds a difficult season, leaving them still in the relegation zone and needing to regroup quickly ahead of their next league fixture.
