Africa’s Afrobeats superstar Davido will headline the ZamSafari Festival of Stars 2025, scheduled for December in Lusaka, in what organisers claim will be one of the largest entertainment and cultural events ever held in Zambia.
The festival, organised by ZamSafari Holdings Group USA, will run under the theme “Celebrating Africa in Zambia – Promoting Africa Through Zambia to the World.”
Group President, Dr. Eddie Mutale, said during a media briefing that the festival represented a legacy moment for Zambia’s creative industry.
“It aims to showcase Zambia’s growing creative industry while positioning the country as a continental hub for music, culture, and tourism,” Mutale said.
He said the event would feature regional artistes from South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Zambia, with an expected attendance of more than 50,000 people.
Mutale added that the festival will feature cutting-edge stage design, synchronized drone shows, and international-level sound engineering, adding that 17 Guinness World Record attempts will also be made, including the largest illuminated audience wave and biggest drone and light show in Zambia.
He said its global board directors are expected to attend the event and reaffirm their commitment to positioning Zambia as Africa’s new tourism and entertainment frontier.

“The project’s broader vision includes the ZamSafari Dome & Waterparks and Tale Green City in Chisamba, an ambitious smart-city development designed to stimulate tourism, create jobs, and attract investment,” Mutale said.
He noted that more than 1,200 small and medium enterprises (SMEs) are expected to benefit from vendor opportunities, providing a major boost to the local economy.
At the same briefing held at White Arcades in Lusaka, Zambian Music Association President, Brian Bwembya (B’Flow), commended the initiative as a milestone for the country’s entertainment industry.
“The festival is not just an entertainment event but a cultural milestone — a celebration of Africa’s unity, creativity, and vision for the future,” he said.
