The three Premier League giants are still jostling for the top spot in the championship race, with defending champions constantly swapping places with Arsenal.

The Gunners closed in on leaders’ Liverpool after an intense match against Nottingham Forest, emerging victorious 2-1 with Taiwo Awoniyi’s late goal on Tuesday.

Manchester City reclaimed second position by defeating Burnley 3-1 at Etihad Stadium on Wednesday, edging past Arsenal in the standings.

Liverpool extended their lead to five points with a commanding 4-1 win over Chelsea at Anfield, leaving them soaring above Manchester City.

Meanwhile, Tottenham and Aston Villa trail just three points behind City and Arsenal, with Villa missing out on fourth place due to a 1-3 defeat by Newcastle.

In contrast, Spurs seized an opportunity by securing a 3-2 victory over Brentford at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Wednesday.

However, the underdogs are struggling to make an impact, with Fulham and Everton settling for a goalless draw at Craven Cottage, leaving Everton languishing in the relegation zone while Fulham remains in the safe zone.

Luton narrowly escaped the drop zone with a convincing 4-1 win over Brighton at Kenilworth Road.

This season proves challenging for the underdogs as the league giants seem unstoppable.
