Journalist, Zgambo, denies charges of alleged seditious practices, trial set for June 3

Journalist, Thomas Allan Zgambo, has pleaded not guilty to the offence of seditious practices before the Lusaka Magistrates’ Court.

Zgambo on Tuesday, appeared before Lusaka Magistrate Mbuywana Sinvula on one of Seditious Practices Contrary to Section 57(1)(b) of the Penal Code Chapter 87 of the laws of Zambia.

It is alleged that on October 18, 2023, Zgambo did publish on social media namely Zambian Whistleblower that government to feed Zambians [SA] GMO mealie meal for the next 10 months dated 26th October 2023, in order to bring into hatred or contempt or to excite disaffection against the administration of justice in Zambia.

Trial commences on June 3, 2024.
