Police arrest co-leader of Sistah Sistah Foundation that led LGBTQ march past in Lusaka

Police have arrested and charged the Co-Founder of Sistah Sistah Foundation with the offence of Giving False Information to Public officers and Unlawful Assembly.

The Co-Founder has been identified as Gladys Mwangala Monde, aged 29 of Silverest area in Lusaka.

This is according Danny Mwale, Deputy Police Public Relations Officer in a statement issued on Tuesday in Lusaka.

“Police have also charged and arrested three others identified as Ann Kazhila Hollard aged 28 of Civic Center area who is the Programme Director, Chilombu Kabambi aged 22 an Administrative Assistant under the same foundation and Luse Mwila Chanda aged 25 with the offence of Unlawful Assembly,” Mwale said.

He stated that the suspects were in Police Custody and would appear in court soon. Investigations have intensified.

Meanwhile, Police have instituted investigations into the programmes and activities of Sistah Sistah Foundation.
