United States President, Donald Trump, has threatened legal action against comedian Trevor Noah after a joke about Trump and Jeffrey Epstein during the Grammy Awards.
While hosting the ceremony, Noah quipped: “Song of the Year—that is a Grammy every artist wants almost as much as Trump wants Greenland, which makes sense because Epstein’s island is gone, he needs a new one to hang out with Bill Clinton.”
BBC reports that Trump, who was known to have associated with Epstein for years, has denied any knowledge of Epstein’s crimes and said the two fell out around 2004.

There are no allegations that Trump ever visited Epstein’s private island, and Epstein’s victims have not accused him of any wrongdoing.
The US Department of Justice has described allegations against Trump as unfounded and false.
Similarly, former President Bill Clinton has consistently denied ever visiting Epstein’s island, Little St James, and has not been accused of any crimes. In 2020, a spokesperson for Clinton said he had “never been” to the island.
Responding to Noah’s joke, Trump posted on his social media platform Truth Social that he would be taking legal action.
He wrote:
“Noah said, INCORRECTLY about me, that Donald Trump and Bill Clinton spent time on Epstein Island. WRONG!!! I can’t speak for Bill, but I have never been to Epstein Island, nor anywhere close, and until tonight’s false and defamatory statement, have never been accused of being there, not even by the Fake News Media.”
He added: “Noah, a total loser, better get his facts straight, and get them straight fast. Get ready Noah, I’m going to have some fun with you!”
