United Prosperous and Peaceful Zambia (UPPZ) leader, Charles Chanda, has called on President Hakainde Hichilema to assemble a dedicated and competent team to help fulfill the promises made during the 2021 elections.

In a statement issued in Lusaka on Friday, Chanda stated the importance of a strong and focused team to achieve the goals outlined in Hichilema’s vision for the country.

“The Zambian people placed their hopes in President Hichilema in 2021, and it is imperative that he builds a team that reflects the same commitment to transparency and progress. Together, they can work towards realising the objectives that were promised,” Chanda said.

He noted that while President Hichilema has good intentions, having the right personnel and strategic planning in place is crucial to translating those intentions into tangible outcomes.

Chanda highlighted the economic challenges and social issues that citizens were currently facing, calling for swift action and effective governance.

“We have seen progress in some areas, but there is still much work to be done. The people are looking for visible results and tangible change. It’s time to ensure that every member of the team is aligned with the President’s vision, dedicated to serving the Zambian people, and equipped to address the pressing issues we face,” Chanda stated.

He also called for a renewed focus on collaboration and community engagement to build greater trust in government initiatives.
