Hichilema explained that when he was in Beijing, it did not mean that he was an enemy of the Washington DC and vice versa.

He said government had a plan for the trip to China and had been working towards it in an organised way.

The President said government had been able to deepen Zambia’s relationship with China through the trip.

“Societies around the world are organised, especially successful societies but here in Zambia the problem is that the people seem to cherish disorder and confusion, which is very unfortunate,” he said.

He stated his government slowly wanted to drift the country towards an orderly way of doing things, saying the value of it would manifest very quickly.

“Support, patience and hard work that is what we have learned where we are coming from. Sometimes noise derails the things that we are supposed to work on,” Hichilema said.
