ZRA reports smart invoice system disruption

0

The Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) has announced a temporary disruption to its Smart Invoice system, affecting taxpayers countrywide.

In a public notice issued on Wednesday, ZRA said the system was currently experiencing technical challenges, prompting the authority to put interim measures in place to ensure business continuity and tax compliance.

The revenue authority has directed affected taxpayers to issue manual tax invoices or use other ZRA-approved invoicing systems during the period of disruption.

ZRA further advised that once the Smart Invoice system was fully restored, all transactions recorded off-system must be uploaded within seventy-two (72) hours.

ZRA assured taxpayers that its technical team was working diligently to stabilise the system and restore full functionality as quickly as possible.

The authority has apologised for any inconvenience caused by the disruption and urged taxpayers to comply with the interim invoicing guidelines to avoid penalties.
