Mungwi teen found dead in sewer pond

A 15-year-old boy has been found dead in a sewer pond in Mungwi District of Northern Province, the local authority has confirmed.

According to a statement issued on Friday by the Mungwi Town Council Public Relations Unit, the boy, identified as Morgan Chokwe of James Township, was discovered floating in a sewer pond at Mungwi Technical STEM Secondary School.

Chokwe is believed to have gone missing on Monday and was only found dead around 12:00 hours on Friday.

His body has since been buried at Chisapa Cemetery.

Police are yet to issue a statement regarding investigations into the matter.
