Africa GreenCo and SUNGANI have launched a partnership linking renewable energy trading with the promotion of Zambia’s food production and culinary sector.
The collaboration, dubbed “Zambia at the Heart of the World’s Food Table”, will be launched at the Zimbabwe-Zambia Energy Projects Summit, billed for November in Livingstone.
According to the statement, the initiative highlights the role of reliable electricity in supporting agricultural activities, including irrigation, food processing and cold-chain systems used to store and transport fresh produce.

Africa GreenCo founder and Group Chief Executive Officer, Ana Hajduka, said the collaboration reflected the potential of Zambian businesses to compete in international markets.
“SUNGANI shows how Zambian talent, ingredients and traditions can become an experience recognised around the world. Africa GreenCo is proud to support African excellence, innovation and entrepreneurship. We bring the same belief to Zambia’s power market, where local businesses are proving they can compete with the best,” Hajduka said.
Chef Sungani Phiri said the partnership would help promote Zambian ingredients and the people involved in producing them.
“Our collaboration with Africa GreenCo helps us take that story to an international table, and Zim-Zam puts it in front of the people shaping the region’s future,” Phiri said.
