Morgan Rogers scored twice as Aston Villa beat Manchester United 2–1 at Villa Park to extend their winning streak to 10 matches in all competitions — the club’s best top-flight run since 1914.
Villa were not at their fluent best, but Rogers continued his fine form, curling home a superb opener a minute before half-time.
In the match reported by the BBC Sports, United levelled after the break when Matheus Cunha capitalised on a mistake by Matty Cash, but Rogers restored Villa’s lead by cutting inside Leny Yoro and curling an almost identical effort past Senne Lammens for his sixth goal in as many Premier League matches.

Head coach Unai Emery celebrated wildly as Villa recorded only their second home league win over United in 27 attempts and moved to within three points of leaders Arsenal.
It was a damaging afternoon for United head coach Ruben Amorim, who lost captain Bruno Fernandes to injury just before the interval.
The midfielder pulled up late in the first half, appearing to clutch his hamstring.
Although Fernandes completed the half, he did not return after the break and was seen walking gingerly to the dugout, raising fears he could face an extended spell on the sidelines.
United were already stretched, missing six senior players through injury, suspension and Africa Cup of Nations duty, while Kobbie Mainoo was ruled out before kick-off with a calf problem.
Teenagers Jack Fletcher and Shea Lacey were handed debuts off the bench in the second half.
Cunha headed United’s best chance of an equaliser wide from six yards as Villa held on for the win.
