Kansanshi Dynamos Football Club has announced the signing of Ugandan forward Joseph Ssemujju ahead of the 2026 Transitional League season.
Ssemujju who primarily plays as a striker moves to the fearless Mabanga Boys as a free agent after his most recent stint with Uganda Premier League side URA FC.
The club confirmed in a statement issued in Solwezi on Tuesday, saying Ssemujju had joined on a 17-month contract running from August 2026 to December 2027.
The signing was part of Kansanshi Dynamos’ preparations for the new campaign, with the 2026 Transitional League scheduled to kick off on 3 October 2026.
Club General Secretary, Mweshi Mupeta, said the addition of Ssemujju aligns with the team’s goal of building a stronger squad.
“We are pleased to welcome Joseph to Kansanshi Dynamos. We believe his qualities will add value to the team as we prepare for the Transitional League. We look forward to seeing him contribute to the Club’s objectives and settle well into the team,” Mupeta said.
He noted that the club had been working to strengthen its attacking options ahead of competitive fixtures.

Speaking after completing his move, the new striker shared his ambitions with the Solwezi outfit.
“I’m excited and happy to be here. Kansanshi Dynamos fans should expect goals because I’m a striker, and my role is to try and score goals. I want to elevate my game, do my best and push for the team,” Ssemujju said.
The 17-month deal will see Ssemujju remain with the club through the end of 2027, covering both the transitional league and the subsequent full season.
Kanshi Dynamos reiterated its commitment to assembling a competitive squad.
“The Club remains committed to building a competitive squad capable of competing at the highest level and delivering performances that match the expectations of the Kansanshi Dynamos family,” reads the statement.
The Mabanga Boys are expected to integrate Ssemujju into training immediately as they fine-tune preparations for October’s league start.
