Two people have been charged with criminal trespass after they were allegedly found inside a woman’s bedroom in Chalala, Lusaka.
The incident was reported to Lubwa Police Station on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, around 11:00 hours by Patricia Mulenga, who told police that Nsanda Phiri and Natasha Chanda had entered her residence without permission.
In a statement issued on Saturday, Deputy Police Public Relations Officer, Chipo Kaitisha, said Ms Mulenga had gone to take a shower and, upon returning to her bedroom, found the two suspects inside.
According to police, Phiri was allegedly sleeping on the bed while Chanda was reportedly attempting to undress.

Police said the two appeared to be under the influence of alcohol.
Kaitisha said the complainant questioned the pair about their presence in the house, but they appeared surprised.
“Police were called to the residence and apprehended the two suspects before taking them to Lubwa Police Station. The suspects were subsequently charged with criminal trespass and released on police bond pending court appearance,” she said.
Kaitisha has since urged members of the public to respect other people’s property, privacy and lawful rights.
She warned against entering or remaining on private premises without the consent or lawful authority of the occupant.
