The Public Private Dialogue Forum (PPDF) says it has commenced its 2026 Technical Working Group (TWG) meetings, which are expected to bring together the public and private sectors in a renewed drive to advance sustainable business-enabling reforms that support investment growth and job creation in Zambia.

In a statement issued by PPDF’s Thembani Chizhuka on Tuesday, the forum called on members of the public and private sector institutions, civil society organisations and cooperating partners to submit proposals highlighting policy, regulatory and administrative challenges that continue to constrain business growth, investment and employment creation.

Sector-specific submissions have also been strongly encouraged.

“The TWG meetings form a critical platform for structured engagement between Government and the private sector, aimed at identifying practical solutions to long-standing bottlenecks affecting Zambia’s business environment,” said Chizhuka.

She added that PPDF had outlined clear guidelines for submissions, which should identify key challenges negatively affecting business operations, outline the impact of these challenges on sector growth and investment, and propose practical and actionable solutions.

Contributors were also expected to indicate the anticipated outcomes once the identified challenges are addressed, he noted.

“To strengthen the quality of proposals, stakeholders are encouraged to support their submissions with evidence and data, as well as comparative analysis and international best practices, with an emphasis on solution-oriented recommendations,” he said.

The forum noted that broad-based participation in the TWG process was essential to shaping reforms that foster a more competitive, inclusive and investment-friendly business environment in Zambia.
