A 62-year-old man has allegedly died during a sexual encounter with a woman at a named guest house in Mpongwe district on the Copperbelt.
According to a statement issued on Monday by Copperbelt Province Police Commanding Officer Mwala Yuyi, the deceased has been identified as Shonge Sinalinga, a resident of Luanshya.
Brief facts of the matter are that Sinalinga checked into the guest house on Saturday, January 24, 2026, in the company of a woman identified as Pamela Chiwala, aged 50. Yuyi said the man was discovered dead the following day, Sunday, January 25, 2026, by workers at the guest house.

The body was found by the receptionist, who had gone to check on him after he earlier complained of poor air circulation in his room.
Yuyi said Sinalinga was found naked and lying on his back on the bed.
He added that the woman who had been with him attempted to flee after the discovery but was apprehended, and the matter was reported to Masaiti Police Station.
“The woman has been detained to assist police with investigations,” he stated.
