AFC Bournemouth and Manchester United played out an entertaining 2–2 draw at the Vitality Stadium, a match that saw Harry Maguire sent off in the second half.
United took the lead on the hour when Bruno Fernandes converted a penalty after Matheus Cunha was fouled by Alex Jimenez.
According to the New York Times, six minutes later, Ryan Christie pulled Bournemouth level, finishing off a swift counter-attack.
United regained the lead almost immediately when James Hill diverted a corner into his own net. But the momentum shifted when Maguire was shown a red card for bringing down Evanilson inside the penalty area.
