Manchester City secured a 2–0 victory over Arsenal on Sunday to win the EFL Cup Final at Wembley Stadium.

After a quiet first half, Manchester City took control of the game with a strong second-half performance.

The breakthrough came in the 60th minute when Nico O’Reilly capitalised on a mistake by goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga to head City in front.

Just four minutes later, O’Reilly struck again in the 64th minute, heading home from a cross to double City’s lead.

In a match reported by Sky Sports, Arsenal struggled to create clear chances despite entering the match as favourites and chasing multiple trophies this season.

The Gunners came close late on, hitting the crossbar, but were unable to find a breakthrough against City’s organised defence.

City’s controlled display ensured they comfortably saw out the match to claim the first major domestic trophy of the season.

The victory marks Manchester City’s ninth League Cup title, while Arsenal’s hopes of securing multiple trophies this season suffer a setback.
