Barbra Banda shines again, scores twice as Orlando Pride thrash Utah Royals 6-0

In what feels like déjà vu, Copper Queens striker Barbra Banda once again scored a brace and registered an assist as Orlando Pride destroyed Utah Royals 6-0.

This takes Banda’s goal tally to double digits, as she has now scored 10 goals in the National Women’s Soccer League.

The impressive performance cements Orlando Pride’s place at the top of the table and maintains the team’s unbeaten run.

Brazilian legend Marta also scored a brace of her own for Orlando Pride, who lead the pack with 32 points.

The Pride and Kansas City Current are the only remaining undefeated clubs in the NWSL.

Banda’s first goal of the match was in the 27th minute and was the fifth header she has scored in the campaign so far.

Banda then completed her fourth brace of the season with an 86th-minute goal.

Banda made history by becoming the first NWSL player to ever score 10 goals in her first 10 appearances.

Summer Yates made the scoreline 2-0 with a goal in first-half stoppage time.

It was proving to be a nightmare for Utah Royals as Marta scored her first goal of the match two minutes into the second half.

Marta then struck her second in the 88th minute off a Banda pass, with the duo celebrating with a dance.

Ally Watt then put the final nail in the Royals’ coffin in additional time, compounding their misery at the bottom of the table.
