Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) General Secretary Charles Chakatazya has called on the Copper Princesses technical bench to urgently present a comprehensive plan outlining the team’s preparations for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup later this year.

Chakatazya stressed that there was little time remaining before the tournament kicks off and preparations must begin immediately.

Speaking when he welcomed the team back from Ethiopia in the early morning of Tuesday, Chakatazya congratulated the players and technical staff for securing Zambia’s third consecutive qualification to the global showpiece.

“We congratulate the team and the technical bench for this outstanding achievement. Qualifying for three successive FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cups is no small feat. We now need to shift our focus to preparing adequately for the tournament, and I urge the technical bench to quickly submit their plan of action,” said Chakatazya.
