Govt reports seven dead from Cholera in 24 hours, largest in a single day

Zambia has recorded the largest number of Cholera deaths in a single day with seven people reported to have died.

According to the National Daily cholera update produced by the Zambia National Public Health, cumulative cases since January 26, 2023 have reached 3189.

Within the past 24 hours, Zambia recorded seven deaths, 72 discharges and 177 admissions.

In terms of the cases recorded in the past 24 hours, the update showed 88.

Affected areas were Lusaka, Chongwe, Chilanga, Vubwi, Petauke, Mpulungu, Mumbwa, Chadiza and Kapiri Mposhi.
