ONE of Zambia’s food distributors, Kaposhi Foods has sealed a partnership which will enable it have nationwide and regional refrigerated distribution to guarantee product freshness and reach to store outlets in the country and surrounding borders such as Namibia, Botswana, and Zimbabwe.

The agreement sealed with Seapride Foods Zambia is a joint food distribution partnership that would ensure that Kaposhi Foods offers clients fresh produce and broader product choice, boosting the local product market.

Kaposhi Foods is excited to share the continued growth of the brand and continue to put the customer experience at the center of the company’s evolution journey.

In his comment on the partnership on Saturday, December 10, 2022, Kaposhi Foods Director, Stefano Benedikter said: “Access to wider markets has been a challenge for Kaposhi Foods because of limited cold chain storage transportation; with Seapride, this will ensure the quality of products and certainty to distribute to a wider range of products.

“Seapride has extensive logistics management expertise in various regional markets. Therefore, this partnership is the right move for the company.”

In the last 12 months, Kaposhi Foods had restructured the operations and management of the company and, in August 2022, launched a new strategic direction to support the local market and give customers and retail outlets more home-grown produce that would contribute to the reduced reliance on imports and in turn boost the local economy.

Starting in December 2022, the Kaposhi Foods brand would appear in locations.

Kaposhi Foods is a boutique food producer and purveyor specialising in gourmet dairy, organic meat products, honey, and artisan coffee.

The business has existed in Zambia for 43 years producing quality organic food for the local and international market.

Owned by the Sardanis family, which had a long-established hospitality business (Chaminuka Game Reserve), they offer the finest locally made products, with a goal to represent the best expression of what the country can produce, packaged for a world-class audience.
