Speculations rife about Zambian striker, Daka’s exit from Leicester City amid reported Everton interest

Zambian striker, Patson Daka, appears set to leave Leicester City during the upcoming transfer window, according to SportsBoom, which reports that Everton is among the clubs interested in securing his services.

Daka, 26, made his mark at Red Bull Salzburg with an impressive 54 goals in 82 appearances before joining Leicester.

Despite showing flashes of his potential in the Premier League, his time at the King Power Stadium has largely fallen short of expectations.

At his best, Daka is a dynamic forward known for his athleticism, sharp movement, and relentless work rate.

He thrives in open attacking systems and is capable of punishing defensive errors with quick, clinical finishes. His ability to press high, intercept passes, and create space for teammates made him a standout in Austria.

His stint at Leicester, however, has been marred by inconsistency and a lack of service from midfield.

Although he scored a notable goal against West Ham in December, opportunities have been limited in a team that has struggled to maintain possession and create chances.

Given his limited impact and the club’s broader attacking struggles, Daka’s departure from Leicester comes as little surprise.

A move to a new Premier League side, particularly one like Everton, could offer the Zambian international the fresh start he needs to rediscover his goal-scoring form.

Six days ago, Daka thanked his fans: “It’s difficult to express how to feel right now but I wanted to take a moment to thank the fans for your support this season, even when we didn’t deserve it.

“We didn’t show enough, but we will work together and do our best to bring this club back to where it belongs.”
