Police in Ndola have confirmed the arrest of three Nkana Football Club players in connection with the malicious damage of government property during their recent match against Power Dynamos.
According to Copperbelt Police Commissioner Peacewell Mweemba, the players – identified as Harrison Chisala, Idris Mbombo, and Clement Nyondo – allegedly damaged the door and locking system of the referee’s room at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium. The damage is estimated at K5,000.

The matter was officially reported by 39-year-old Charles Chisenga, an employee of the Cabinet Office in Ndola, who is currently serving as an acting executive member at the stadium.
“The trio have been charged and arrested for the offence of malicious damage to government property and are currently in police custody pending a court appearance,” Mweemba said in a statement on Wednesday.
