Athletics body commended ahead African under 18/20 Athletics Championship

Participants in the Technical Officials Education Competition system (TOECS)  Level 1 course have commended Zambia Athletics  for  progress made in preparing athletes  for the African Championship.

Officials  stated in a statement on Friday that  coming up with the course for athletes  in preparation for the under 18 and under 20 African Athletics Championship Zambia will be hosting was commendable.

Twenty Athletics technical officials from 10 provinces are currently taking part in TOECS level 1 course in Lusaka.

Tonny Kunga from central province Armatear Athletics Association said  the course would  help him improve Athletics not only at national  level but in central province as well.

Chiso Macleana from Western province Athletics Area Board also said  the course was a step in the right direction into Zambia hosting a successful  under 18 and under 20 Africa Championship.

Muchinga province participant Emily Muhone said  she has so far learnt a number of things that she did not know about, which she will use at the junior African Championship.

The competition will be held  from April 19  to  May 3,2023.
