On Wednesday morning in Mongu District of Western Province, the State entered a Nolle Prosequi against Mrs. Phiri in the case together with Shebby Chilekwa was accused of the murder of Lawrence Banda, a UPND cadre.

Lubinda has wondered why the State had to put Mrs. Phiri in prison for over a year only to enter a Nolle Prosequi on the day that the judge was to deliver the judgment.

He said the PF has been vindicated for its statement that Mrs. Phiri was arrested on a political mission because even the State knew that she was supposed to be acquitted but opted to enter a Nolle.

“How can the state decide to criminalize its own citizens for life, now Mumbi shall be walking the streets of Zambia as a criminal because of this Nolle, what nonsense, what scandal is this,” Lubinda said.

He said God will soon vindicate Mrs. Phiri and Zambians must be on the look out because no one is safe from the party in government.

“The pain which Mumbi Phiri feels today should also be in your hearts, even those who wish Mumbi to be incarcerated it must be painful for you, my fellow patriots don’t lose heart, don’t lose hope because not all is lost, there are still gallant men and women who are willing to lead this country freely and peacefully without until influence,” Lubinda said.

He said Zambians must leave vengeance in the hands of the lord and any leader who is practicing such acts is not worth of such a position.
