It is alleged that on June 26, 2025, in Lusaka, they trafficked and imported 739 kilograms of marijuana without lawful authority.
Kasolo alone faces four additional counts of corrupt practices under the Anti-Corruption Act No. 3 of 2012. The State alleges that on the same date, he offered bribes totaling K60,000 to Drug Enforcement Commission (DEC) officers—Maggie Lichilo, Japhet Tembo, Brian Chakulya, and Christine Jitanda—in a bid to secure the release of his two co-accused, who were under investigation for drug trafficking.
In a statement, the Commission linked Kasolo to a 2024 drug case in which 204.7 kilograms of cannabis, disguised as catalyst powder, were seized.
