In a show of compassion and community service, Harvest Foundation, in collaboration with John Wesley Methodist Church, Leopards Hill, held a Free-Market outreach programme on November 1, 2025, aimed at supporting vulnerable members of surrounding communities.
The outreach, part of Harvest Foundation’s ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) drive, drew hundreds of beneficiaries from Chainda, Bauleni, and Leopards Hill areas.
Over 500 people received food items, clothing, shoes, household goods, and other essential supplies.
Items distributed included bags of mealie meal, vegetable oil, salt, sugar, cookies, drinks, Chitenge materials, T-shirts, among others — all donated to uplift struggling families and individuals.

Speaking during the event, Chairman of Harvest Group of Companies Limited, Ugochukwu Ikoro-Ngadi, reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to community development through practical acts of kindness.
“We believe that true corporate success is measured not only by business growth but by the positive impact we create in the communities we serve,” Ikoro-Ngadi said.
He added, “Through the Free-Market outreach, we aim to demonstrate love in action and remind people that they are not forgotten.”
Ikoro-Ngadi noted that the partnership between Harvest Foundation and John Wesley Methodist Church represented a shared vision to build stronger, more caring communities.
The church service preceding the outreach was marked by powerful messages of faith, hope, and renewal.
The Very Reverend Adaoha Ugo-Ngadi, who is also the Group Managing Director of Harvest Group, ministered during the service, urging Christians to remain steadfast in love and service to God.
Her sermon, themed “The God of Breakthrough,” centered on the importance of faith, love, and obedience as keys to divine intervention.
“Christians must continue to love one another and serve God with all their heart,” she said.
Ugo-Ngadi said: “When we put God first in everything, breakthroughs come not just in our lives but in our communities.”
The event was also officiated by The Presbyter of John Wesley Methodist Church, Lusaka, The Very Reverend Ogaba Isaac Ogaba, who encouraged congregants to live prayerful lives and remain spiritually prepared for eternity.
“Always be ready because no one knows the appointed day of his or her departure from earth,” Reverend Ogaba reminded worshippers.
“Serve the one true God, Jehovah, who alone can grant eternal peace in a place where there is no loadshedding,” he said.
Other minsters of the church present during the community outreach programme included Reverend Ebenezer Uche and Deaconess Rosemary Ogaba.

This year’s Free-Market exercise marked the second collaboration between Harvest Foundation and John Wesley Methodist Church, further cementing their shared mission to extend compassion and tangible support to those most in need.
