Nigerian singer, dancer and entertainer, Korra Obidi, has officially released her highly anticipated new album titled Ala, marking her first full album project in nearly a decade.
The album, released on April 10, 2026, signals a major comeback for the US-based Nigerian star, who has built a global fanbase through her energetic dance performances, social media presence and Afro-fusion music style.
Ala features ten tracks that showcase Korra Obidi’s signature blend of Afrobeat, dance, and experimental sounds.
Songs on the album include Oya Wass, Komije, Arara Ororo, Anywhere You Go, Raise Am, Lava, Love Me Softly, Based on Wetin, Idan, and Ekwe.
The album rollout generated significant excitement among fans, with the artist announcing strong pre-orders ahead of the release and hosting listening sessions to promote the project.
Korra Obidi described Ala as a deeply personal project reflecting her growth as an independent artist and entertainer.
The title Ala, which translates to “land” or “earth” in several Nigerian dialects, symbolises grounding, identity and resilience — themes that appear throughout the album.
The project also features previously released singles including Lava and Love Me Softly, which helped build anticipation for the album ahead of its official release.
