The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) and Copper Queens head coach, Nora Häuptle, have agreed to part ways by mutual consent, the football governing body said on Saturday.
Häuptle, who was appointed on January 24, 2025 on a three-year contract, leaves the position after about 20 months in charge.
FAZ General Secretary, Charles Chakatazya, confirmed the separation in a statement, saying the decision was made in the interest of both parties.

“After a meeting between FAZ and Häuptle’s representatives, it was agreed that in the interest of progress for both parties they had to separate,” Chakatazya said.
He said assistant coach Charles Haalubono would take charge of the Copper Queens on an interim basis ahead of their upcoming assignments.
Chakatazya said FAZ would announce long-term arrangements for the senior women’s national team in due course.
“We would like to sincerely thank Häuptle for her contribution to the Zambian game and wish her all the best in her future endeavours,” he said.
