Egyptian property technology startup Aqar Exit has secured US$200,000 in fresh investment at a US$2 million valuation, marking a step forward in its plans to expand its services and enter new markets.
The investment came from Ayman Mamdouh Abbas, executive chairman of Intro Holding Group, who acquired a 10 per cent equity stake in the company.
Aqar Exit founder and chairman, Mahmoud Ammar, disclosed the investment during an interview with Al Arabiya Business, according to Tech in Africa.
The deal followed the startup’s participation in the fifth season of Shark Tank Egypt, where it presented its property technology solution to potential investors.
“This investment validates our model and gives us the capital to accelerate product development and prepare for expansion into new markets,” Ammar said.
Established in 2026, Aqar Exit operated a digital platform that helps property buyers struggling to meet their instalment obligations transfer their purchase contracts to new buyers.
“The platform aims to simplify property contract assignments by connecting sellers with qualified buyers while providing assistance throughout the transaction,” Ammar said.
Property owners begin by submitting their contract information for assessment before uploading supporting documents, including purchase agreements and payment receipts, for verification.
“Once information is reviewed, we prepare a verified listing and identify prospective buyers who can assume the remaining payment obligations,” he said.
Interested buyers can browse available properties, review financial details and submit offers based on their budgets and preferred instalment arrangements.
“The company operates a transaction-based revenue model, charging buyers 1.25 per cent of the contract value only after a successful transfer, while sellers pay no fees,” Ammar stated.
Since launching, Aqar Exit has reported approximately $181 million in closed listings across 638 transactions, although the company classifies removed listings as closed.
“These figures do not necessarily represent completed property sales, but they reflect strong market activity and demand for flexible property exit solutions,” Ammar said.
The startup has also registered 14,845 property assignment files from 11,833 sellers and received more than 67,000 purchase requests from prospective buyers.
Aqar Exit planned to use the latest funding to support product development and international expansion, particularly into Gulf markets.
The company is also preparing to raise approximately $5 million in 2027 from local and international investors to finance its next phase of growth.
