Bata expands retail footprints in Zambia

Bata Zambia has reportedly expanded its footprint in the country with the opening of its 64th retail outlet and plans to open more stores in the coming months.

Chairperson of the Global Bata Children’s Programme, Marsha Doucette, said the company was expanding its retail presence in Zambia to better serve customers and contribute to job creation.

Speaking during the opening of the new outlet in Lusaka’s Ibex Hill area on Sunday, Doucette highlighted the company’s reported impact on Zambian families through various social initiatives.

She stated that despite market challenges, the company had continued to record year-on-year growth, reportedly driven by a strong team and a commitment to the Zambian people.

Doucette emphasized their commitment to social responsibility alongside its business growth in Zambia, assuring customers of the company’s role in job creation.

Similarly, Africa President for company, Michael Wyatt, expressed excitement and gratitude at the store opening, reportedly noting that Zambia remained one of the company’s top-performing markets globally.

“We are happy to be here. I must say that Zambia is a top-performing market for the company globally, and we are committed to continuing our growth and presence in the country,” Wyatt said.

He also thanked its customers for their continued support, adding that the company plans to expand its footprint even further.
