The Harvest Group Foundation, led by The Very Reverend Adaoha Ugo-Ngadi, who is also Group Managing Director of Harvest Group of Companies Limited, has donated over 2,400 exercise books to Bauleni Legacy Academy to empower its students.
The donation was made during the commemoration of Ecobank Day 2026 at Bauleni Legacy Academy, where Ecobank Zambia handed over a fully equipped information and communications technology (ICT) laboratory under its partnership with Family Legacy Mission Zambia.
Harvest Group Head of Corporate Communications, Samuel Ibemere, said the company was pleased to contribute learning materials to the school and support initiatives aimed at improving lives.
“As a mark of our commitment to youth development, we are making a donation of over two thousand exercise books to nearly 400 students of this school” Ibemere said, adding that the presentation reflected Harvest Group’s commitment to partnering with institutions working to improve lives in Zambia and across Africa.
The exercise books were received by Annie Zulu Banda, Interim Country Director, Family Legacy Mission Zambia. Joining her to witness the occasion were the Board Chairperson, EcoBank Zambia, Joseph Chikolwa, and the EcoBank Zambia Managing Director, Aina Moore.
“We are delighted at the partnership that we share with Ecobank, and are also inspired by the works being done at Bauleni Legacy Academy to build the capacity of future generations,” Ibemere said.
He said the leadership of Harvest Group acknowledged that the responsibility of raising and educating children extended beyond national boundaries in an increasingly interconnected world.
Ibemere described the growing relationship between Harvest Group and Ecobank Zambia as a partnership built around a shared commitment to harness Africa’s resources for the benefit of its people.
“Our friendship speaks to the power of collaboration and that is what has defined the relationship between Ecobank and Harvest Group over time,” Ibemere said.
He congratulated Ecobank Zambia and Bauleni Legacy Academy on the milestone attained, and conveyed greetings from the leadership of Harvest Group.
“We are very proud of the relationship that we have had with Ecobank. It has been mutually rewarding and on this day that you are celebrating we rejoice with you and Bauleni Legacy Academy on the milestone that you have achieved,” he said.
Acknowledging the presentation from Harvest Group Foundation, Annie Banda expressed appreciation and said the exercise books were a timely intervention which has now saved indigent students from their everyday challenge of not being able to take notes on the lessons taught.
