What would become of the remains of late President Edgar Lungu still appears stewed in fresh controversy as court documents seen by Zambia Monitor indicate that the body has been ordered to be returned to the custody of Two Mountains Burial Services Ltd (where it had been resting since) or a mortuary nominated by the Lungu family.
The family spokesperson, Makebi Zulu, had late Thursday (also reported by Zambia Monitor) informed the public that a court in South Africa had made an order that Lungu’s remains be returned to place of earlier custody, thereby stalling Zambian government moves to take possession of the corpse.
