Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) Commissioner, McDonald Chipenzi, has become an unexpected social media sensation after humorously using the phrase “Noto Noto” instead of “number zero” while announcing presidential election results, triggering laughter among stakeholders and a flood of amused reactions from netizens who said the comic slip provided much-needed relief during the tense vote tallying process.

ECZ commissioners have been taking turns announcing batches of presidential results from constituencies across the country.

Within minutes, clips of the moment spread across Facebook, with thousands of users describing the commissioner as the unexpected comedian of the election results announcement.

Andrew Mwaila II wrote: “Commissioner McDonald Chipenzi. This man has been my favorite since the times of NGOs president,” while Lu Cky simply commented, “Heaven is the goal.”
