The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) Disciplinary Committee has fined and sanctioned several teams and players for various breaches of league rules, including match abandonments, violent conduct, and use of ineligible players.

Army-sponsored Panzer Football Club has been fined K1,500 and forfeited a week-24 league match against Katete Rangers after causing the abandonment of the fixture at Gondar Barracks.

The committee ruled that Panzer FC breached Articles 51 and 56 of the FAZ Disciplinary Code.

“The match is hereby forfeited in favour of Katete Rangers FC with a 3-0 scoreline in accordance with Article 31 of the FAZ Disciplinary Code,” read the verdict.

FAZ Eastern Province Media and Communications Officer Maybin Mboola confirmed the rulings, in a statement issued in Chipata.

The statement noted that the affected parties have the right to appeal within 48 hours.

Chiefs United FC striker Davison Zimba has been banned from all football-related activities for six months and fined K2,500 for violent conduct against match officials during a week-25 game.

Chiefs United also forfeited the match to Kingbossi FC with a 3-0 scoreline.

“Zimba has been banned in accordance with Article 49 (b), and fined under Article 15 of the FAZ Disciplinary Code,” the committee stated.

In another case, Nyelele FC of the Provincial Division Two League was fined K1,500 for failing to fulfil their week-28 fixture against Police Bullets FC. The match has been awarded to Police Bullets 3-0.

Petauke United was found guilty of fielding an ineligible player, Abraham Phiri, during a week-13 match against Smiling Kids FC.

The committee noted Phiri was suspended pending a transfer from Young Kachisi FC and should not have been included in the squad.

“The result is annulled and the match forfeited in favour of Smiling Kids FC, with a 3-0 scoreline,” ruled the committee.

Eastern Warriors FC has also been fined K1,500 and forfeited their week-24 match to Kingbossi FC for causing an abandonment.

The disciplinary committee cited violations of Articles 15, 31, 56 and 77(d).
