Hichilema slams MPs for allegedly undermining implementation of Constituency Development Fund

President Hakainde Hichilema has expressed disappointment with Members of Parliament who are reportedly undermining the effective implementation of the Constituency Development Fund (CDF).

Speaking after a meeting with traditional leaders from Luapula Province on the sidelines of Labour Day celebrations, President Hichilema said the CDF is a crucial tool for driving local development, and any sabotage undermined national progress.

“On the sidelines of the Labour Day celebrations, we held an engagement meeting with Their Royal Highnesses from Luapula Province to deliberate on the province’s developmental priorities and the well-being of our people,” the President stated in a Facebook post on Thursday, April 1, 2025.

He reaffirmed his government’s commitment to advancing development across all 10 provinces and called for unity in managing resources for the good of the country.
