Inter Milan advanced to their second Champions League final in three years after defeating Barcelona 4-3 on the night and 7-6 on aggregate in a semi-final classic at San Siro.
Barcelona appeared to be heading for their first final since 2015 when Raphinha struck in the 87th minute.
But Francesco Acerbi equalised deep into stoppage time to force extra time, where Davide Frattesi’s composed finish sealed a dramatic victory for the hosts.
In a match reported by The Independent, the second leg picked up where last week’s thrilling 3-3 draw left off. Lautaro Martinez opened the scoring early for Inter, with Hakan Calhanoglu adding a second from the penalty spot.
Barcelona again clawed their way back—Eric Garcia headed in Gerard Martin’s cross before Dani Olmo equalised with another header, also supplied by Martin.
Raphinha’s late goal looked to have clinched it, but Acerbi’s last-gasp leveller kept Inter alive. In extra time, Frattesi struck decisively, booking Inter’s place in the final, where they will face either Paris Saint-Germain or Arsenal in Munich on 31 May 2025.
