Kalulushi-based model Kunda Mwamulima has been crowned Miss Universe Zambia 2025, emerging victorious among 20 contestants.

Mwamulima will represent Zambia at the 74th Miss Universe pageant, scheduled for November 21, 2025, in Pak Kret, Thailand.

The top five also included titleholders from across the country: Miss World Zambia 2025 from Ndola Central, Miss Grand from Chongwe, Miss Supranational from Mongu, and Miss World from Kitwe.

Describing her win as a life-changing moment, Mwamulima said she was overjoyed and deeply grateful for the honor.

“Winning this title, along with a beautiful Benz, is more than just a personal achievement—it’s a testament to the dreams we can all achieve through dedication and hard work,” she said.

She expressed gratitude to the principal sponsor of Miss Universe Zambia, Jelumu Jelumu, for its unwavering support, which she credited for making her journey possible.

Mwamulima also thanked Arm Model Management Agency and its Chief Executive Officer Alice Rowlands Musukwa for their mentorship and life-changing guidance.

“This moment will forever remain a significant part of my history, and I’m excited about the journey ahead,” she added.

She further extended appreciation to Kalulushi Member of Parliament Kampamba Mulenga and former mayor Rashida Mulenga for their steadfast support and inspiration.

“To all the young women out there who may be doubting themselves: You CAN achieve anything you set your mind to! While there may be obstacles and people who try to bring you down, if God says yes, no man can say no. Believe in yourself, work hard, and embrace every opportunity. Your dreams are valid, and the sky’s the limit,” she said.

The event was graced by Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, Sylvia Masebo, who commended the organizers for their excellent stage management and production.

“Zambia has improved—stage management, stage lighting, the setup, and the talent of these young women are putting us on the global map. Zambia ku chalo!” Masebo said.
