Nigerian artiste, Burna Boy, to feature on official 2026 FIFA World Cup song

Nigerian Grammy-winning star, Burna Boy, is set to feature alongside Colombian pop icon Shakira on the official song for the 2026 FIFA World Cup titled “Dai Dai.”

The collaboration marks the second consecutive FIFA World Cup tournament to feature a Nigerian artiste on its official soundtrack, following Davido’s appearance on the 2022 World Cup anthem, Hayya Hayya (Better Together).

Daily Post reports that Shakira announced the upcoming release on social media, confirming that the song will officially drop on May 14.

“From Maracanã Stadium, here is ‘Dai Dai,’ the FIFA World Cup Official Song 2026. Coming 5/14. We’re ready!” she wrote in a post featuring Burna Boy.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be jointly hosted by Canada, Mexico and the United States.

The tournament is scheduled to run from June 11 to July 19 and will be the first World Cup to feature 48 teams.
