Zambia Association of Athletics kicks off 2022/23 training season

The Zambia Association of Athletics (ZAA) has announced the commencement of training in readiness for the 2022/2023 season.

The athletic body said in a statement posted on its social media platform that the 2022/2023 Athletics season has begun with athletes training in their various clubs.

Apart from looking out for the junior African Championship, Zambia would be hosting from April 29  to May 3, 2023 season has a number of competitions lined up.

“Athletes will be looking forward to qualifying for the Ghana All African games from  August4 to 19,2023  and world Championships to be held in Hungary, Budapest from August 19 to 27,2022 August,” ZAA stated.

Muzala Samukonga ,the  400 metres Commonwealth champion already qualified for the world championship after winning gold in Birmingham, United Kingdom this year.

The qualifiers will be done through the All Comers Meet Competitions.
