Lukanga Water Supply and Sanitation Company Limited has cautioned members of the public against a fraudster posing as a recruiter for the company and demanding a facilitation fee of K350.

The company’s Public Relations Manager, Siwa Mwene, revealed in a statement issued in Kabwe on Friday that the fraudster was targeting unsuspecting job seekers with false promises of employment.

Mwene stressed that the claims were false and intended to defraud the public, adding that Lukanga Water does not and will never request money from applicants as part of its recruitment process.

“Lukanga Water Supply and Sanitation Company Limited has learnt with great concern that there is an unscrupulous individual calling members of the public, claiming that the Company is recruiting for various positions,” Mwene said.

She emphasized that all genuine job opportunities were officially advertised through the company’s established communication channels, and no individual is authorized to solicit money on its behalf.

“Members of the public are strongly advised not to engage with such calls and to immediately report such incidences to the Zambia Police,” she said.

She further encouraged the public, where possible, to help apprehend such culprits and hand them over to law enforcement authorities.

Mwene assured that Lukanga Water remains committed to transparency, professionalism, and fairness in all its operations, urging the public to stay alert and always verify information directly with the company through official contacts.
