Zambezi Omnisport, a Ndola-based multimedia and technology production company, is fast gaining recognition for showcasing Zambian sports and entertainment to global audiences through high-quality live broadcasts.
The company, chaired by Zambian-born computer scientist and artiste, Chasaya Sichilima, recently livestreamed the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup match between ZESCO United and FC105 of Gabon from Levy Mwanawasa Stadium, drawing more than 200,000 online viewers.
Sichilima told Zambia Monitor in an interview in Lusaka on Tuesday that the initiative reflected the firm’s vision to make Zambia a centre of excellence in digital sports production and creative media.

Sichilima said: “We want to give local athletes and artists global exposure while growing the country’s digital media industry.”
Since beginning operations in April 2023, Zambezi Omnisport has supported a range of major events, including the FAZ Copperbelt GSB Cup, Seymens Cup, and the ZASSA Athletics and Chess Tournaments, which it broadcast to worldwide audiences.
The company has also partnered with Ajax Chimz Academy as the official match-day kit sponsor and supported the Sprintathon Software Development Workshop at the Copperbelt University to promote innovation in technology and sports media.
Zambezi Omnisport recently hosted its first major concert, the Zambezi Omnisport Gospel Fest, which attracted wide acclaim for its production quality and diverse lineup of artists.
Sichilima said the company planned to expand its coverage to include more local leagues, school competitions and cultural festivals, while providing training opportunities for young media professionals.
“We are investing in skills, creativity and technology to ensure Zambia’s stories are told with pride and professionalism,” he said.
Operating in both Zambia and Canada, Zambezi Omnisport produces and distributes content for television, radio and online platforms, focusing on sports, arts and culture.
