The game between Forest Rangers and Zesco United was temporarily stopped after a swarm of bees invaded the pitch as players and match officials scampered for safety.

According to ZamFoot, play was halted at Ndola’s Levy Mwanawasa Stadium on Saturday, December 10, 2022 during a Zambian Super League match for close to 30 minutes following a swarm of bees that invaded
the pitch side.

During the Ndola derby between Forest Rangers and Zesco United, players and officials had to scamper in all directions as bees found their way onto the pitch.

Fortunately play resumed and there was no reported casualty.

The match ended goalless as George Lwandamina took charge of Zesco United for the first time since his return.
