Chipolopolo head coach, Avram Grant, has announced a 19-man squad to face Russia in an international friendly scheduled for Tuesday next week in Moscow.
The team departed Lusaka via Ethiopian Airlines from Kenneth Kaunda International Airport.
Key absentees from the squad include Leicester City striker Patson Daka and national team captain Lubambo Musonda, both ruled out due to injury.
Also missing is Lecce winger, Lameck Banda, who is still recovering from a long-term injury.
The friendly against Russia comes after Zambia’s disrupted March international window, during which the team failed to play a competitive match following Eritrea’s withdrawal from World Cup qualifiers and Congo Brazzaville’s FIFA suspension.
