Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Minister, Mulambo Haimbe, has called for improved management and utilisation of Zambian-owned properties abroad, saying they should play a stronger role in advancing diplomacy and economic engagement.

Haimbe made the remarks during a tour of Ngong House in Kenya, where he said safeguarding external assets was important for strengthening Zambia’s international presence.

“Government is focusing on improving accountability and infrastructure management to ensure that properties owned by Zambia outside the country are properly maintained and effectively used in support of national interests,” he said.

Haimbe commended staff responsible for managing the property, urging them to maintain professionalism and high standards in their duties.
