The venue for the Absa Cup semi-finals has reportedly been shifted from Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola to Railway Stadium in Kabwe.
The change, announced on Tuesday, follows incidents of vandalism during a recent Zambia Premier League (ZPL) fixture between Nkana Football Club and Power Dynamos—both of whom are set to feature in the semi-finals.
In a joint statement, Absa Bank Zambia Head of Marketing and Corporate Affairs, Mato Shimabale, and Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) General Secretary, Reuben Kamanga, said the decision was taken in the interest of safety for all involved.

“Given the limited capacity of Railway Stadium, fans are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance, as none will be sold at the venue on matchday,” the statement read.
The organisers also acknowledged the inconvenience caused by the venue change and thanked supporters for their continued backing of the competition.
The semi-finals are reportedly set for Saturday.
