Iran has launched a new wave of missile attacks on Israel, with Iranian state media claiming that the projectiles successfully penetrated Israeli defence systems.
While the Israeli military has not confirmed the Iranian strike, it stated that it had retaliated by launching missiles at an Iranian missile site.
According to the BBC, Israel’s defence systems typically intercept the majority of incoming missiles.
Addressing the nation on the sixth day of hostilities, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the operation to eliminate Iran’s nuclear threat was progressing and that Israel was currently controlling the skies over Tehran.
He acknowledged that Israel had suffered painful losses but assured the public that the country’s home front remained strong.

Meanwhile, Iran’s Ministry of Communications has announced temporary internet restrictions, citing the need to prevent potential threats from “the enemy,” according to Iranian media.
